Located right on the Yough River in Confluence PA
Yough Riverhouse is located in the town of Confluence nestled in the Laurel Highlands Mountains. Our newly renovated, private home sits along the Youghiogheny River at the tailwaters of the dam. We also own the 50 acres of forest next to the home–the knob that spans from the Yough to the Casselman River and partially borders the bike trail. The house sits at the end of a one lane road but within walking distance to town. We are skipping distance to the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail.
Sleeps up to 12
Our spacious home is well equipped and clean. The open floor plan in the kitchen/living area and french doors opening to a deck with grill make for ideal socializing. The river side of the house has lots of windows and is bright and cheery.
Yough Riverhouse can accommodate up to 12 people. We have 5 bedrooms and a small ‘kids/game’ room with a futon couch and 3 full baths. Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a king sized bed and full sized bed and a full bath. There are 3 bedrooms with queen sized beds. And one bedroom with 2 twin beds. Downstairs is the kid/game room (with TV) and a full bath with clawfoot tub.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need. The main living room has a large stone fireplace. The large foyer has hard wood floors and offers another great space for socializing. All linens and towels are provided. There is a TV/DVD, Direct TV, highspeed, wireless internet and free calls. Verizon/Sprint cell phones work well from the house.
Our home is kid safe and there is a highchair and portacrib to use. With 4 distinct seasons, the house is available year round.
Close to town, but surrounded by nature
Without leaving our property you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area either from our deck, or riverfront acreage or hiking on our 50 acres of woods. Listen for geese, ducks and other birds. Fly fish for trout in the well stocked tailwaters of the dam in our front yard. Watch for great blue heron, osprey or if you are lucky the bald eagles that fish here as well.

Make a day swimming and boating at the Yough Lake just around the corner. Take a break from your ride through from DC to Pittsburgh on the bike trail or spend the day biking shorter routes in either direction. Kayak or pick up a raft trip in nearby Ohiopyle. Make this the perfect retreat for trips to the 2 Frank Lloyd Wright homes Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. We are centrally located to the ski resorts (Wisp, Seven Springs & Hidden Valley).
